Auction a Ram Good Time

February 15, 2012

Tickets are on sale for the 31st Ram Good Time Auction, the athletic department's biggest and most popular fundraising event for student-athlete scholarships.

The auction is set for Saturday, March 3, at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Loveland. The event, sponsored by Ram Club, includes silent and live auctions, dinner buffet and complimentary beverages.

The auction annually brings in more than $200,000 and has raised more than $3.7 million over the past 30 years. The money is used to help fund scholarships for CSU’s 300-plus student-athletes.

Benemann is emcee

This year’s emcee is CBS4 anchor and CSU alum Jim Benemann. Attendees will have the chance to bid on more than 400 silent auction items, while live auction items include a golf outing with men’s basketball coach Tim Miles, dinner with football coach Jim McElwain, a trip to Hawaii and a barbecue and horseback outing with athletic director Jack Graham and his wife, Ginger.

Ram Club members are eligible for a special raffle for tickets, airfare and hotel for a premium men’s basketball game in the 2012-13 season. CSU will also be giving $1,000 to one attendee. Auction guests can also stay at the Embassy Suites for a special rate of $109. Hotel rooms must be reserved by Feb. 28.
