ASCSU sponsors City Council round table event

CSU students, you can dine with Fort Collins City Council to discuss your issues, including housing, transportation, safety, and environment.

Let your voice be heard at the City Council Round Table Event on Thursday, March 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center East Ballroom.

CSU students will be able to sit down, enjoy free appetizers with each city council member.

"I think this event is a great chance for our students to sit down with the city council members to discuss important issues going on in our community and on campus," said Brittany Pautz, marketing assistant for ASCSU.

About City Council

The City Council has six members who are elected for a four year term. City council serves as the community’s legislative body, with responsibilities for:

  • Passing city ordinances
  • Fitting funds to conduct City business
  • Providing policy direction to City staff
  • By provision of the City Charter, Council has the power of appointment over the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge.
