It was the enduring Bobby Vinton (described by Billboard Magazine as the best love singer of the Rock-era) who wrote the lyrics, "Though we gotta say goodbye for the summer..."

Vinton's lyrics are apropos, as it's now time to say goodbye to this summer's Lagoon concerts at Colorado State.  And fittingly, the closing act is the Dokajovi, a classic rock band who promises to make the event fun for everyone involved.

Set your evening aside for the farewell concert on Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 6:30 p.m. on the West Lawn of the Lory Student Center.

The Dokajovi

The Dokajovi's music focuses on the 1970s and 1980s, but they also play songs from the '50s and '60s as well as some from the '90s and current songs.  "A good song is a good song," the band says, "No matter when it was written."

Eighteen-year tradition

The Lagoon Summer Concert Series has been a summer event in Fort Collins for over 18 years. Thanks to the generous support of Colorado State University, this event has continued to thrive and grow into the success it is today.

Admission to all concerts is free.
