Quick glimpses of life at CSU

Colorado State University students offer quick glimpses of life at CSU, including events on campus, profiles on interesting CSU people, and other campus life goings-on in a new YouTube video series, Ramble On.

All Ramble On videos are produced by CSU students and available on CSU’s YouTube channel.

Varied culture, inspiring moments

“We go out every week and highlight unique activities that students are doing around campus,” said Dan Messineo one of Ramble On’s chief videographers, and graduate student in CSU’s Department of Journalism and Technical Communication.

CSU plays host to events showcasing its varied culture, inspiring moments, and thrilling performances. Students at CSU are involved in a wide variety of pursuits and organizations. Ramble On aims to capture those uniquely CSU experiences and share them.

Ramble On was in the house when ASAP and the Air Force Reserve hosted rap artist Ludacris at Moby Arena on Nov. 18, 2010.

Watch what you missed

“We have been to the CSU World Unity Fair, the Veteran’s Day 5K Run, the Hip Hop Explosion Step Show, a bouldering competition at the CSU rec center, Dog Night in the residence halls, and the Ludacris concert at Moby Arena. It’s been awesome,” said Graham Hunter, Ramble On’s other chief videographer, and senior in CSU’s Department of Journalism and Technical Communication.

“You may not have been able to make it to the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy concert at the Lory Student Center this fall, but we were there when they played the Homecoming halftime show at Hughes Stadium with CSU’s Marching Band. It was electric!” said Messineo.

Ramble on captures amazing performance

When  Big Bad Voodoo Daddy joined the marching band for the Homecoming half time show, Ramble On was on the field.

“Dan and I were at the stadium and down on the field for the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy show and it was obvious how much the performance meant to the marching band students and just how hard they had worked for a successful show,” said Hunter.

"This semester has been exciting, inspiring, and educational," said Messineo. "The involvement of passionate students in our community has made the work of Ramble On successful and gratifying."
