Women's Basketball November 20

Head Coach Ryun Williams and the Rams women's basketball program are eagerly taking on the 2012-2013 campaign. The fourth game of the season takes place at home in Moby Arena against Toledo.

2012-2013 season

The Rams' Women's Basketball team starts its 2012-2013 season with a loss against Montana State and wins against UNC and Seattle.

The November 17 game against the Seattle Seahawks ended in a 58-55 win for the Rams. At one point during the game, the Rams held a 15 point lead.

Playing in her first career game, freshman Caitlin Duffy was called upon to make an impact. Duffy answered that call, scoring eight of her 10 points in the final period as well as tallying seven rebounds and five assists for the game.

"For her first game, to be thrown in that fire, I though Duffy was crucial," Head Coach Ryun Williams said. "I don't think we would have won that game if we didn't have Duffy on that floor tonight. She's a really good ball handler and a good decision maker."

Williams said that defensively, the team was outstanding throughout the game.

Coach Ryun Williams, a 19-year coaching veteran, in in his first season as the 12th head coach of the Colorado State women's basketball program. Williams has compiled an impressive 312-190 career record, leading his squads to six campaigns of 20 or more victories, four post season berths, and one conference championship.
