Pre-Vet Club meeting Nov. 18

November 13, 2009

Join the Pre-Vet club for their next regular meeting Wednesday, Nov. 18 where they will learn about equine internal medicine from one of CSU's own experts.

Exploring equine medicine

Come to the next Pre-Vet Club meeting where Dr. Lutz Goehring will speak about equine internal medicine.  Afterward, from 7-7:10 p.m., we will have Dr. Benson speak to the Club about the Vets in the Wild program.

Dr. Goehring currently works at the CSU Equine Hospital. He obtained his veterinary degree from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He worked in a private equine practice in the South of Germany and then began a residency in equine medicine in Virginia.

He obtained a Masters of Science degree in Immunopathogenesis and returned to The Netherlands as a clinical instructor and conducted studies of pathogenesis and epidemiology of the neurological diseases following EHV1-infections. His main interests are infectious diseases, neurology, and infectious diseases that cause neuropathy in horses.

Everyone is welcome so be sure to join us at this meeting for a detailed presentation on the internal medicine of horses.

Thank you!
