The Colorado Science and Engineering Fair for students in grades 6-12 is April 8-10 at Colorado State University. The annual state-level competition for students who have competed and won the right to represent their regional science fair will be held in the Lory Student Center.
The 55th annual Colorado Science and Engineering Fair features dozens of Colorado students chosen by their regional science fair to compete in one of the 12 science fair categories:
On Thursday, April 8 the students will set up their projects in the morning and judging interviews will be conducted in the afternoon. The exhibit hall is not open to the public on this day.
Martin Lockley with give a public talk on "Tracking Dinosaurs Around the World."
The guest speaker for the 55th Colorado Science and Engineering Fair will be Martin Lockley, a professor of Geology at the University of Colorado Denver and the director of the Dinosaur Tracks Museum.
Lockley will speak on "Tracking Dinosaurs Around the World" at 9 a.m. Friday, April 9 at the Lory Student Center Theatre.
This talk is open to anyone interested in attending.
The exhibit hall in the Lory Student Center Main Ballroom with the student projects will be open to the public for viewing. Students will be at their projects to interact with the public on Saturday.
The Colorado Science and Engineering Fair is being sponsored by the Center for Science, Mathematics and Technology Education, the College of Natural Sciences, and the Office of the Provost/Executive Vice President.
