Nominations for the President's Leadership Program

January 6, 2012

Dear CSU Friends and Colleagues,

The Office of Student Leadership, Involvement & Community Engagement (SLiCE) is currently seeking nominations for the President's Leadership Program (PLP).

PLP is a comprehensive leadership development experience that provides year-long academic and experiential courses designed to meaningfully explore the personal, organizational, and social dimensions of leadership.  In addition to academic work, students participate in retreats and service projects that allow them to apply the knowledge and training acquired in class. We currently offer three separate leadership courses at the introductory, intermediate, and advanced level, and students may choose to take one or more courses during their academic career.

Each year we ask current faculty and staff to help us identify students with leadership potential who seek personal challenge and can add diverse perspectives and experiences to our classes. PLP students teach and learn from each other, so we encourage the nomination of students with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and values.

Our nomination process this year is paperless. Please visit our online nomination form to nominate students to our program. If you prefer to send an excel sheet with multiple students' information (Last name, First Name, Email Address), please email it out to our Program Coordinator, Emily Ambrose, at

Please complete your nominations by Monday, February 6, 2012.

Also, please feel free to share this information with other colleagues and staff. We will email nominated students, inviting them to apply to our program.

For more information about the President's Leadership Program, please feel free to contact me at (970) 491-2181 or at or visit our website. Thank you very much for your assistance!
