Alumni Night Out March 3

February 26, 2010

Alumni and friends are invited to a night out on Wednesday, March 3 in downtown Fort Collins. Come network, mingle, and catch up with friends and hear about a free program (designed by CSU engineering students) that will help you monitor your monthly utility bills.

The March 3 CSU Alumni Night Out takes place at Beau Jo's Restaurant, a short distance from Fort Collins' Old Town Square.

Wednesday, March 3
5-7 p.m.
Beau Jo's Restaurant
100 N. College Ave.

Network, socialize, learn and have fun on the first Wednesday of each month!

Catch up with alumni and friends at this month's CSU Alumni Night Out at 5 p.m. at Beau Jo's Restaurant in downtown Fort Collins

As a bonus, hear about CSU engineering students' Earth Aid Project, a new online tool which helps monitor monthly utility bills.

Earth-Aid and energy consumption

Earth Aid at Colorado State has developed the first free service that enables individuals to track their electric, gas, and water usage in one place online, receive customized tips to help them save, and earn rewards if they do save -- points that they can redeem for discounts at local businesses.

This service is targeted to those individuals who want to save a little green and also help make their community more environmentally aware. Once signed up, a baseline will be established for the household from data obtained from your online utility account.

You start off by syncing up your ability to view your usage/bills online and Earth Aid does the rest by tracking your usage from month to month and creating easy to read graphics to show your electric, gas and water usage. Once you see a reduction on utility usage from your baseline, you start earning points
