Indie Concert Jan. 27

January 22, 2010

Students, come see two local bands, The Rouge and The Alan Baird Project, for free on Wednesday night in the LSC Theatre!

Rock out at the Lory Student Center Theatre

Students can enjoy some killer tunes this Wednesday night, thanks to ASAP. The student organization will host two Denver-based bands, The Rouge and The Alan Baird Project, in the LSC Theatre. This event is free to CSU students.

The Rouge

The Rouge, out of Denver, has just been signed by Atlantic Records and is cited as a band with a "collective youthful edge, headed up by heartbreaker Josh Vaught; this band is as easy on the eyes as it is on the ears." The Rouge also won the award of 2009 Best Indie Pop band at the Denver Westword Music Showcase.

"Creating a fusion of funk, indie, country, R&B, rock, and dirty blues, this foursome blends their varying, individual influences into an explosively progressive and versatile indie rock."

The Alan Baird Project

The Alan Baird Project, also out of Denver is rising in popularity. "Winners of the 2008 Progressive Motion Battle of the Bands and the 2008 Rock City Productions Battle of the Bands, the 'Project' has headlined sold-out shows at the Marquis Theater and opened for headliners including Fun, Your Vegas and Breathe Carolina at key venues including the Bluebird Theater, the Gothic Theater, and Herman’s Hideaway."
