Interior Design Senior Show

May 9, 2012

'The Power of Design' is the theme for this year's Interior Design Senior Show. The theme is based on interior designer Richard Farson's vision that designers have the potential as problem solvers to act as advocates and practitioners for social change.

The presentation of portfolios – individual collections of four years of students' creative and technical work – represents mastery of:

  • space planning
  • models
  • REVIT renderings
  • lighting design
  • building code and ADA compliance
  • 3D animations
  • sustainable/green design for residential and commercial interiors

Portfolios of capstone projects

Site design by senior interior design student Adam Mooney. The ‘Show’ is an on-going tradition within the Interior Design program providing each graduating senior the opportunity to display and celebrate, with faculty, peers, family, and friends, their portfolios including recently completed capstone projects.

It's a time of celebration and a way to honor and recognize fellow students, faculty, and community members by students and their families.

Design that inspires change

This year’s theme, based on Richard Farson’s The Power of Design, is relevant to seniors entering the profession because he believes designers have the potential as problem solvers to act as advocates and practitioners for social change.
