School is Cool needs you

July 6, 2009

University department representatives assist the School is Cool program by being the ambassadors to individual offices around campus. By volunteering to become your department/offices/college's representative, you will only have to devote a few hours to becoming a "voice" for the children.

School is Cool is an annual outreach program organized and supported by Colorado State employees. Through the program, backpacks are filled with much-needed school supplies and then donated to elementary and secondary students in the Poudre School District.

Employee grassroots effort

In 2008, School is Cool helped over 2,500 students have a more successful educational experience by giving them the basic school supplies they need to succeed. The success of the program is due in large part to our grassroots efforts in recruiting department representatives to serve as the voice for these children among co-workers and peers.
