Colorado State University President Tony Frank and College of Business Dean Ajay Menon will officially dedicate the new expansion -- Rockwell Hall-West -- of CSU's College of Business at 9 a.m. Friday, April 30, at the Rockwell Hall-West colonnade, southeast entrance.
The new state-of-the-art, $17.5 million, 54,600-square-foot expansion includes:
The building will accommodate the high demand for business classes, the increased need for new and diverse technology and new degree programs. The facility is anticipated to receive a LEED Gold Certificate from the U.S. Green Building Council.
“We are excited to be launching into the next decade with an academic facility to match the excellence of our faculty, staff and students,” Menon said. “The new, technologically advanced west-wing expansion of Rockwell Hall has been designed knowing that cross-disciplinary backgrounds will be required to succeed in a world that increasingly demands versatility and multiple dimensions of training from its workers.
"With a focus on space for team-based learning and group study rooms, our hope is that the new physical facility will inspire students, faculty and staff to better collaborate, build stronger bonds and networks for the long-term benefit of the entire university and our Fort Collins and Northern Colorado community."
An open house of Rockwell Hall-West will run from 10 a.m. –3 p.m. Sonny Lubick and CAM the Ram will be outside of Rockwell Hall-West greeting visitors from noon–1 p.m.
Community members, alumni, and high school students and their parents are encouraged to participate in the day-long activities which will include guided tours, exhibits and demonstrations taking place in the new facility.
