Colorado Combined Campaign donors can win gift cards this week to Sonny Lubick's

November 27, 2012

CSU donors to the Colorado Combined Campaign will have a chance this week to escape from those Thanksgiving left-overs for a dinner at Sonny Lubick's Steakhouse.

Sonny Lubick’s has donated two $25 gift cards (to be used by Nov. 30) as incentive prizes for CSU faculty and staff who support the 2012 CCC drive. All those who have made contributions to the drive will be automatically entered in the drawing.

Giving back to the community

This is just the first of many prizes offered to faculty/staff CCC donors, thanks to generous contributions from local and campus businesses that are partnering to help promote giving through the Colorado Combined Campaign – the only opportunity state employees have each year to make charitable gifts via payroll deduction. Giving through the CCC allows CSU donors to contribute to the charities of their choice – including United Way –     by having the money taken directly from their paycheck each month.

Every employee should have received a hard-copy contribution form via campus mail. You can also donate online. Employees can choose to donate by check, cash, credit card, or automatic payroll deduction. With payroll deduction, the first monthly contribution will begin Jan. 1, 2013. (You will first need to register when using the online giving site, even if you gave online last year. To protect donors' personal information, the Campaign requires a new registration for each donor every year.) An employee who wants to participate in CCC can either search the online list of available charities from the more than 700 agencies participating in the Campaign — or browse through the 2012 Campaign Resource Guide sent to each department to see what your options are.

Incentives for donating

In thanks to those who give back to our community, CSU faculty and staff who contribute to the Colorado Combined Campaign will have an opportunity to win some great incentive prizes.  All those who make a contribution to the Campaign will be automatically entered into the drawing for prizes that include:

  • A free CSU "A" parking permit for the 2013-14 year (donated by University Parking Services)
  • Two $25 gift cards to Coopersmith’s Pub & Brewing
  • Four $25 gift cards from Hot Corner Concepts Restaurants for use at Austin’s, Moot House, Enzio’s, or Big Al’s
  • Two $25 gift cards to CB & Potts
  • A gift card for Café Vino
  • Two CSU gear totebags, including Cam the Ram bobbleheads (donated by External Relations)
  • 8 Meal Deal cards for Taco Bell
  • A $50 gift card to the CSU Bookstore
  • A gift card for Quicklights and a haircut at the on-campus James Salon in the LSC
  • A T-shirt package from the Ramskeller
  • A gift card from The Cupboard
  • Two tickets to an upcoming OpenStage Theatre & Co. Production

The Sonny Lubick’s gift cards will be announced this week, and drawings for all other prizes will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 28. Everyone who has made a pledge by the time of the drawing will be eligible to win.

CSU a leader in supporting non-profits

Colorado State University has been participating in the Colorado Combined Campaign since 2000 and has consistently been a statewide leader in contributing to non-profit agencies that benefit people and causes across Colorado. This year's campaign runs through the months of November and December, with a goal of raising at least $135,000 to help worthy non-profit organizations and people in need across Colorado. The decision to give through the Colorado Combined Campaign is personal and up to the employee; donor information is kept private to the extent possible and not shared with departments or divisions.

If you did not receive a paper pledge form or need a new one, please contact Katie Woodcox in the Office of the President at (970) 491-6211.

Please note: While the Northern Colorado Aids Project is mistakenly listed in this year’s printed Campaign Resource Guide, it is not participating in this year’s CCC Campaign.  If you’ve already submitted a form designating a gift to NCAP, someone from the CCC will contact you directly to discuss your options.
