CSUnity - Make a difference in your community

Updated April 1, 2010

CSUnity, sponsored by the SLiCE department, is a campus wide one-day service project that has been a tradition for 14 years. Last year, CSUnity gathered over 2,200 volunteers and provided 270 service based projects.

Help for yards, natural areas

The annual  CSUnity is event is a great chance for students to give back to the community. Over 2,000 CSU students every year go out and help community members with yardwork, help clean up natural areas, and more.

SLiCE registers volunteers

The SLiCE office registers all student volunteers. Many student organizations, fraternities and sororities, residence hall groups, and groups of friends come out to help students.

Off-Campus Life identifies needs

Off-Campus Life registers residents in the community who need help. These residents are not physically able to complete the needed work themselves or afford the costs that would accompany hiring help, and they turn to this program for assistance.

Short on volunteers - please help!

This year, there is a high demand for projects in the community. CSU students help make the difference in this community, bridging the gap between student and non-student residents. SLiCE and Off-Campus Life are short on volunteers and are asking for your help in continuing the great success and committment to the community that CSU students have shown in the past.

See the need, take the plunge, learn and serve!

Volunteers will get a free t-shirt and lunch for their effort.  Engage in activities such as:

  • planting trees
  • painting
  • visiting with senior neighbors

These and many more volunteer opportunities make up this awesome one-day event. CSUnity staff strives for creative and unique projects such as riding city buses to assess disabled accessibility or cleaning up the Big Thompson River.

We also provide an opportunity for all agencies to educate you and your student group about how they benefit the community, and provide a chance for our neighbors to tell us a little about themselves as well.
