Nominate a distinguished administrative professional for award; nominations due March 2

February 16, 2012

Know an outstanding administrative professional who has gone above and beyond the duties of their job while they've been at CSU?

Submit their name for the Distinguished Administrative Professional Award. This annual award recognizes administrative professionals with continuing meritorious and outstanding achievement in the areas of outreach, teaching, administration, and/or service at CSU. A maximum of four award recipients will be selected, and each will receive a commemorative plaque and an award of $1,000. The recipients will be recognized at the annual Celebrate CSU Awards event in April 2012.

The nomination deadline for the 2011-12 Distinguished Administrative Professional Award is 5 p.m. March 2.

In your nomination of an AP, please describe how this individual’s performance fits the selection criteria in the nomination form. Using the suggested selection criteria, the award will be based on demonstrated outstanding achievement within the individual’s responsibilities to the university, community, and/or state of Colorado. The nomination should address at least one and no more than three of these criteria to be considered for the award. All criteria are given equal weight.

The nomination should also include two written statements of support. Note that you know the nominee and his/her work, but the evaluation committee might not.

If you have nominated an administrative professional who in the past was not selected for the Award, you are encouraged to re-nominate that individual. A past recipient of the Distinguished Administrative Professional Award is not eligible to receive this award within five years.
