The Budget Office's small staff undertakes the budgetary work necessary to operate the Colorado State campus – for all units, departments, divisions, and colleges.

During their busiest season (June through July), their days are long and may include weekends and holidays, but there are never complaints about the extra time, just that “it’s the nature of the business.”

Calm, helpful, informative

Members of the Budget Office are sometimes in the position of delivering not-so-great news to a unit regarding reduced funding in the upcoming fiscal year.

Even when dealing with unhappy “customers,” this team remains calm, helpful and informative while maintaining great customer service.

Their nominator noted, “Before I became acquainted with this office, I had no idea how much work these people do for the entire campus on tight deadlines—their work is so important to Colorado State.”
