VB: No. 10 Rams sweep Fresno State to remain undefeated

Head Coach Tom Hilbert stressed all week that he thought Saturday would be the toughest road test of the conference season. The No. 10 Rams were up for the challenge, sweeping Fresno State (25-13, 25-16, 25-21) at the Save Mart Center. With the victory, Colorado State (27-0, 18-0 MW) – which clinched its fifth consecutive Mountain West championship last weekend – finished  the regular season undefeated on the road for the first time in program history, extending its true road winning streak to 17 matches. WBB: Rams spoil Redbird home opener

The Colorado State women’s basketball team opened their road season with a 76-61 victory Saturday night at Redbird Arena. The Rams improve to 3-1 on the year, their best start since the 2005-06 season. The Redbirds remain winless at 0-3. It’s the first time CSU won its road opener since 2003. Read more.

FB: Rams lose defensive battle in Logan

The Colorado State Rams enter the final week of the regular season needing a win at home against Air Force to secure their first trip to a bowl game since 2008. CSU’s hopes of securing bowl eligibility today at Utah State faded before a suffocating Aggies defense that ranks No. 1 in the Mountain West and propelled the home team to the win, its 11thin its last 13 home games. MBB: Rams outlast Bears

Back in the comfortable confines of Moby Arena, the Colorado State Rams (3-2) edged out in-state rival Northern Colorado, 72-65. Colorado State improved to 3-0 at home on the year behind tough interior play against the Bears (2-2). Junior forward J.J. Avila led all scorers with 28 points on nine-of-13 shooting, and connected on all 10 of his free-throw attempts. Avila has now led the Rams in scoring in each of the past three games, and is averaging 25.7 points per game over that span. Read more.

XC: Rams place 26th at NCAA Championship

Running in strong winds, the Colorado State men's cross country team competed at the NCAA Cross Country Championships for the first time in nine years Saturday, taking 26th at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course. The 26th-place finish is one spot higher than CSU's seed heading in to the race. The Rams tallied a team score of 606. It ranks as the squad's best finish since 2003, when the team took 18th. VB: Rams set Mountain West record with win over San Jose State

The No. 10 Colorado State Rams set a Mountain West record Thursday with its 26th consecutive victory, a 3-0 sweep over San José State (27-25, 25-14, 25-15) at The Event Center. With the win, the Rams remain undefeated (26-0, 17-0 MW), and won their 16th consecutive true road match. Read more.

SD: Swimming & diving completes fall schedule

The Rams concluded the fall portion of their season over the weekend. The swim team competed in the eight-team Las Vegas Invite, while the divers traveled to the Missouri Tiger Invitational. The team will next compete Jan. 10 in Fort Collins.
