Concert Orchestra and Band: 'British Invasion'

The Concert Orchestra, directed by Leslie Stewart and the Concert Band, directed by Erik Johnson, is offering a free concert to the Colorado State and Fort Collins communities.

Both ensembles perform music by British composers, including Purcell, Elgar, and Britten.

Concert Orchestra features Suilean a Chloinne (Children's Eyes) by contemporary Scottish composer Jennifer Barker, which was commissioned by CSU conductor Leslie Stewart and premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2006.

The Concert Band portion includes works for military band by composers such as Ralph Vaughn Williams, Percy Grainger, and Malcolm Arnold.
