Christina Adame life celebration, scholarship fund

October 27, 2010

A celebration of Christina Adame's life will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday Oct. 28, in the Lory Student Center West Ballroom. Christina, a sophomore at Colorado State University majoring in International Studies and an employee at CSU's Veterinary Teaching Hospital, died on Oct. 19. Her loss is felt widely throughout the CSU and larger community.

Excellent student, gift for learning languages

Christina, right, was an excellent student and had a gift for learning languages. She was fluent in both German and Spanish. She had a passion for reading, and was especially interested in history and geography.

At the request of Christina's family, CSU has developed a memorial fund that will be used to support a gift or scholarship to a student to be determined with the family at a later date.

Memorial fund

Information about the fund is available online. Christina’s mother, Nancy, helped establish the fund with a $1,000 donation provided by CBS4's Pay it Forward program.
