'Inside Islam' series

The 'Inside Islam' program series, sponsored by the Muslim Student Association at CSU, addresses various topics in highlighting the teaching and traditions of Islam.

The topics in the Inside Islam program series seek to open the minds of individuals to what the teaching of Islam is and what Muslims are like.

'How the Bible led me to Islam'

The Muslim Student Association at CSU will host guest speaker Yusha Evans, a former youth minister, who will present the talk, 'How the Bible led me to Islam."

Evans was raised in a conservative, Christian home in Greenville, South Carolina. He was interested in becoming a Bible scholar. After reading the Bible several times -- cover to cover -- he was led to examine Islam.

He converted and today is a full-time lecturer on Islam. He teaches workshops and is the founder and co-founder of two Islamic television stations in North America.

Baklavav, samosas, and beverages will be served. The talk is free and open to the public.

Guest speaker Aishah Islam will discuss, "How Islam empowers women.'

The Muslim Student Association at CSU

The purpose of the MSA is to:

  • help CSU students in all aspects of their educational, cultural, spiritual, and social lives;
  • orient international students before and after their arrival to university and life in the US in general and in Fort Collins in particular;
  • open a window, through various communication methods (for example, seminars, speeches, print and audio-visual materials, etc.), on the geographically and culturally diverse Muslim societies;
  • cooperate with other CSU and Fort Collins organizations in various activities; and
  • hold Islamic services and explain the Islamic way of life for who are interested.
