Creative Writing Reading Series begins

The first author presented at the Creative Writing Reading Series this semester is E.J. Levy, winner of a Pushcart Prize, a Lambda Literary Award, a Nelson Algren Award, a Chicago Literary Award, a Gesell Award, a Michener Fellowship, and an Associated Writing Programs Intro Award. Levy teaches nonfiction at Colorado State.

Levy's book, 'Amazons, A Love Story,' recounts an idealistic woman's coming of age against the backdrop of the magnificent rainforest and exotic city of Salvador.Thursday, September 6

E.J. Levy to read from her works

This session features the work of E.J. Levy, whose anthology, Tasting Life Twice: Literary Lesbian Fiction by New American Writers, won a Lambda Literary Award and was “highly recommended” by Library Journal, which called it “beautiful, sad, sweet, moving, and defiant.”

Her essays have appeared in Best American Essays, The New York Times, The Nation, Orion, Salmagundi, Kenyon Review, The Pushcart Prize Anthology, and many others.
