Working at CSU

Registration for the 2013 PDI is now open

November 29, 2012

Encourage Curiosity!

The Institute for Learning and Teaching (TILT) has opened registration for the 2013 Professional Development Institute (PDI).

Sessions for all employees

Now in its 34th year, PDI will be held Jan. 14, 15, and 16 in the Lory Student Center and includes sessions for every constituency working at CSU.

Faculty, Instructors, and Graduate Teaching Assistants will find a range of sessions exploring subjects relevant to teaching and learning. General threads include: academic advising, critical thinking, curriculum development, service learning, student affairs, teaching and technology, Web 2.0 and social networking, as well as writing and WAC (Writing Across the Curriculum).

State Classified Personnel will find a huge range of sessions of interest, including ones that develop specific, work-related skills and others that provide personal enrichment.

Many sessions will be of interest to a cross-section of campus, including Administrative Professionals. These include threads on diversity, student affairs, research, outreach, IT, green initiatives, safety and health, and professional/personal development.

Don’t wait to register! While registration is free (unless indicated in the session description), it is on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions do fill up fast!

So “Encourage Curiosity” and plan to attend the 2013 PDI this January!
