Ram Good Time Auction Mar. 7

February 23, 2009

Tickets are still available to the Ram Good Time Auction, one of the most popular traditions in CSU Athletics. This year's event will be hosted by six-time Olympic Gold Medalist and former CSU student-athlete Amy Van Dyken.

Silent and live auction

The event, which takes place at the Hilton Fort Collins on March 7, includes both a silent and live auction on hundreds of unique items, raffles, dinner and other entertainment.

Through the dedication and generosity of CSU alumni, donors and the Fort Collins community, the Ram Good Time Auction has raised over $3.1 million toward scholarships for CSU student-athletes throughout the years.

Everyone who purchases a ticket is entered into the Coors $1,000 cash drawing. Also, one lucky fan will drive away in a brand new Nissan XTerra, courtesy of Tynan’s Nissan and Pepsi.

Van Dyken this year's host

Van Dyken (pictured below), an all-American swimmer at Colorado State and a Colorado native, burst onto the scene in 1996, winning four gold medals at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, becoming the first American woman to accomplish such a feat. In the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia, Van Dyken overcame two shoulder surgeries and won two more gold medals, bringing her total up to six, the fifth-most gold medals won by any woman in Olympic history.

Purchase tickets by March 2

Tickets are $100 or $1,000 for a table of 10, and must be purchased by March 2.
