Socially responsible investing: TIAA-CREF

Are you thinking about retirement investing? Faculty, staff, administrative professionals, and students are invited to a workshop titled, 'Socially responsible investing strategies,' being offered by the College of Business on Tuesday, March 8.

Speaker Scott Budde will explain how you can get competitive returns through certain social-investing strategies.

Socially responsible investing

The College of Business is hosting a presentation by Scott J. Budde titled, "Socially Responsible Investing Strategies: TIAA-CREF Educational Seminar."

Presenter Scott J. Budde is a managing director in the Asset Management Division of TIAA-CREF. He heads the TIAA-CREF Global Social and Community Investing Department. He is the author of Compelling Returns: A Practical Guide to Socially Responsible Investing Strategies.

Compelling Returns discusses how individual investors can get competitive returns through the main social investing strategies of social screening, community investing, and corporate engagement. His presentation will cover the same.

About the speaker

Budde holds an A.B. in economics from Bowdoin College and a masters in International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. Budde was a Fulbright Scholar in Hungary and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
