Working at CSU

Employee Spring Financial Fair, March 23-26

February 26, 2009

Monday, March 23, marks the beginning of the annual Spring Financial Planning and Pre-Retirement Fair sponsored by the CSU Benefits Office. This event is anticipated by campus staff each year and provides investment related learning opportunities as well as up-to-date strategies for portfolio asset management.

Classes are available for new investors that focus on basic investment principles and advanced classes that review investment asset classes. There are also opportunities to learn about tax planning and how to structure an estate.

Sessions to learn more about retirement options

This event continues Monday through Thursday with three scheduled sessions each day presented by the companies who offer retirement options to CSU employees. Most sessions are approximately one hour (PERA and Social Security generally take 1 ½ hours), so please plan on attending as many as your schedule allows.

Assistance planning a well-balanced investment portfolio

The CSU Benefits Office is excited to bring this event to campus each year to assist employees with planning early for retirement or strategizing closer to your planned retirement date for a well-balanced investment portfolio. Feel free to share this information with your co-workers that may not have easy access to a computer to see the event details.

We look forward to seeing you there!
