Colorado State 4-H Conference June 20-24

The Colorado State 4-H Conference brings together a community of young people from across the state, giving 4-H members, leaders, and Extension agents an opportunity to take part in some great training and to strengthen their leadership skills. The public is invited to attend the state contests that will be held throughout the conference.

Polishing leadership skills

The Colorado State 4-H Conference will once again be held at Colorado State University this year, June 20-24. Conferees will be housed in the Academic Village and in Summit Hall. Most of the conference will take place in the Lory Student Center.

The conference brings 4-H members, leaders, and Extension agents together to strengthen their leadership skills.

Over 400 conferees

Almost 420 youth will be on campus attending the conference.

State contests to be held

The state contests being held during the conference include:

  • Hippology
  • Horse demonstration and public speaking
  • Poultry judging
  • Livestock judging
  • Horse judging
  • Consumer choices
  • Prepared speech
  • Impromptu speech
  • Horse bowl
  • Livestock bowl

Want to watch a contest?

The contests are open to the public. Anyone wanting to watch a contest should come up to the second floor of the Lory Student Center to check in at the registration desk before they head to a contest.
