'I Love CSU Day' and 'College Friday' April 16

April 14, 2010

It comes around once a year, and is officially proclaimed by the governor as I Love CSU Day. Celebrated on Friday, April 16 this year, I Love CSU Day is an opportunity to show your Ram pride and how much you love CSU. It's also College Friday, a day designated to raise awareness about the importance of higher education.

  • If you’re headed to Old Town on Friday, stop by Dempsey’s and Walrus Ice Cream who will be offering "I Love CSU Day" discounts.

'College Friday' also April 16

The entire state of Colorado is also invited to help us create a virtual landscape of green and gold on Friday, April 16 by wearing your favorite college logo apparel to support Colorado State, as well as Colorado students' dreams of higher education.

Colorado ranks in the top five states nationwide for the greatest number of degree holders per capita, yet only one in five Colorado ninth-grade students will earn a college degree, ranking the state in the bottom quartile nationally.

College In Colorado, the sponsor of College Friday, was initiated by the Department of Higher Education – which serves the citizens of the state of Colorado by promoting access to, affordability of, and success in higher education for all students – to improve college access and change expectations about college for all Colorado students.

Need new CSU gear to wear on Friday? You can get your CSU apparel online or by visiting the Lory Student Center CSU Bookstore.
