Carnero Quartet concert

String quartets, comprised of four string players in the violin family, are one of the most prominent chamber ensembles in classical music. Hear CSU's own graduate string quartet in concert April 25.

The Carnero Quartet is finishing up its first year together and has worked on challenging repertoire, some of which they will be taking to the Orvieto Musica Festival in Italy this June.

The Orvieto festival is an intensive, three-week performance workshop for professionals, teachers, and select students.

Graduate String Quartet program

Students selected for graduate string quartet fellowships receive full tuition and work toward a Masters in Music in performance, education, music therapy, or conducting. Fellows hold principal positions in the CSU Symphony, Sinfonia Orchestra, and the Opera Orchestra.

The curriculum assists students in developing artistic and business-related aspects for a successful quartet career.
