This conference provides an amazing opportunity for students to gain resources, information, have the opportunity to connect with CSU faculty, staff, and other students to help them be successful here @ CSU.

Transitioning into your 2nd year

Getting to Year Two @ CSU is a one day conference on Thursday, Feb. 12 in the Lory Student Center for first year students (in their second semester).

Students will be able to select breakout sessions to attend throughout the day.

Sessions provide students with information and resources to assist them with the transition to a second year at CSU and include academic skills, transitioning to off-campus life, study abroad opportunities, how to be successful in the classroom, and much more.


  • 8 a.m.-3 p.m.:   Check-in and registration (LSC Registration Booth, 2nd Flr.)
  • 9-9:50 a.m.:      Breakfast and welcome (Room 203)
  • 10-10:50 a.m.:  Session Block #1
  • 11-11:50 a.m.:  Session Block #2
  • noon-1 p.m.:     Lunch and keynote speaker is Anthony Grimes
  • 1-1:50 p.m.:      Session Block #3
  • 2-2:50 p.m.:      Session Block #4
  • 3-3:50 p.m.:      Session Block #5
