May 22, 2009

The Colorado State University System Board of Governors posted a public notice along with an agenda that it plans to hold a public meeting at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26 at the CSU System office, 410, 17th Street, 24th floor.

The full board, which includes student and faculty representatives, plans to discuss the following matters in a public session:

1. Resignation of Mr. Joe Blake from the CSU System Board of Governors.

2. Appointment of a replacement to fill the vacancy of Mr. Blake’s seat, who will serve the remaining term, which ends December 31, 2010. If there is a vacancy mid-term, the board has the authority, per statute, to fill the vacated seat.

3. Designation of finalist for chancellor.

4. CSU Fort Collins president position.

The board may take action on the aforementioned, which all has to be done through a public vote of the board. The public can sign-up for comment, but all signatures must be in by the start of the board meeting. Sign-up sheets will be available outside of the meeting room. The board plans to convene in executive session at one point to discuss a pending lawsuit.
