Summer Employee Study Privilege deadline: Monday, May 14

May 10, 2012

Faculty and staff,

The deadline for submitting your Summer 2012 Employee Study Privilege Form is rapidly approaching!

If you're considering taking classes this Summer and are eligible for the CSU Employee Study Privilege, don't forget to send your completed Employee Study Privilege form to the Registrar's Office by the first day of the term: MONDAY, MAY 14. Those taking OnlinePlus classes should send their Employee Study Privilege Form to the Division of Continuing Education.

If you are unsure about your eligibility or to find more information about this benefit, please see the Employee Study Privilege page on the Human Resources Website.

Keep in mind that the Employee Study credits start over in the Summer term, so eligible, full-time employees will begin the semester with 9 credits (prorated for part-time staff). As long as you are within your allotted credits, the only charges directly related to tuition and fees you must pay out of your own pocket are special course fees (list of courses that have special course fees associated with them).

College Technical charges and University Facility Fees are reduced on a per credit basis dependent upon the number of credits you are using under the Employee Study Privilege. You must be using at least 1 credit of your benefit in a term to have program charges, such as those for Occupational Therapy, Business, etc, waived. Keep this in mind when planning your year and indicate the number of credits you wish to use for each term on the form.

Remember: Turn in your form for Summer 2012 by the end of the day on Monday, May 14!
