Wind Ensemble Extremes!

"Jazzy, dynamic, and dramatic," are words Colorado State's School of the Arts uses to describe the versatile, colorful sounds of the CSU Wind Ensemble. The concert takes place in Griffin Concert hall tonight, Wednesday, March 25, at 7:30 p.m. The concert includes a performance by piano soloist Silvana Santinelli.

Plan a evening out for the Wind Ensemble Concert with Special Guest Silvana Santinelli. The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Wes Kenney, performs an amazing amalgamation of unusual works and transcriptions for a musical presentation that will stick in the mind for a long time.

  • Silvana Santinelli joins the ensemble for Stravinsky’s Concerto for Piano and Winds 
  • Daniel Lee leads the ensemble in Four Glimpses from New Orleans’ French Quarter 
  • The textures of Krzysztof Penderecki are featured in the Pittsburg Overture 
  • Keith Wilson’s recreation of Hindemith’s symphonic Metamorphosis
