Wednesday, Nov. 11
11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Lory Student Center Plaza

If you could go back in time to the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918 to the town of Versailles, France, you would witness the rejoicing of American troops over the armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities between the Allied Nations and Germany at the end of World War I.

Nov. 11, 1918 was regarded as the end of "the war to end all wars."

Today, Veterans Day is a celebration to honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Colorado State will be celebrating Veterans Day this year through the following events:

Renowned authors
11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

There will be several veteran-related organizations/offices represented; also Jim Sheeler the author of Final Salute, and Tony and Janet Seahorn the authors of Tears of a Warrior will be attending. The CSU Student Veterans of America student organization will be selling hotdogs for $1 to raise money for future activities.
