Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice - April 19 event FAQs

April 14, 2011

As political and social unrest unfolds across the Middle East and Africa, Condoleezza Rice - the 66th secretary of state of the United States - will speak at Colorado State University at 7 p.m. April 19 at Moby Arena. Ticket reservations have reached capacity and are now closed.

Condoleezza Rice Event FAQs

Why is Condoleezza Rice coming to CSU?

Condoleezza Rice’s lecture is supported by the Monfort Lecture Series, which targets speakers of international distinction. The generous support of donations from the Monfort Family Foundation allows CSU to bring in Monfort Lecture speakers that have a variety of viewpoints and beliefs to help stimulate conversation and academic discussions regarding important issues we all face. What CSU looks for in a speaker are unparalleled, dynamic experiences that can be shared with the campus community to provide a unique glimpse into historic events, societal ideals, diplomacy, and politics.

The Monfort Excellence Fund has had a tremendous impact on Colorado State University students, faculty, and the Northern Colorado community through its scholarships for exceptional students, its support of outstanding faculty, and its public lectures delivered by international leaders. You can read more about the transformative effects of the Monfort Excellence Fund, including information on previous Monfort Lecture Series speakers, at
