City Council Round Table Event

Dine and discuss

Let your voice be heard at the City Council Round Table Event on Thursday, March 12 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center East Ballroom. CSU students, you can dine with Fort Collins city council to discuss your issues, to include:

  • Housing
  • Transportation
  • Safety
  • Environment

CSU students will be able to sit down, enjoy free appetizers with each city council member and have a chance to learn from one another about the important issues facing both our campus and our community.

About City Council

The City Council has six members who are elected for a four year term. City council serves as the community’s legislative body, with responsibilities for

  • Passing city ordinances
  • Fitting funds to conduct City business
  • Providing policy direction to City staff

By provision of the City Charter, Council has the power of appointment over the City Manager, City Attorney, and Municipal Court Judge.
