June 25 = 3D Printing Day at CSU

If you want to learn more about 3D printing or are curious about this revolutionary technology, then plan to attend a new Colorado State University event dedicated to 3D printing.

June 25 is 3D Printing Day at CSU.  

The Idea2Product Laboratory, CSU’s community-access, donor-supported 3D printing facility, is sponsoring the half-day event.

From 1 to 4 p.m., 3D printing experts will speak about the technology, including:

  • Terry Wohlers, a renowned 3D printing industry analyst, will talk about the surge in the technology’s popularity and important trends is this fascinating industry.
  • Easton LaChappelle, a high school senior who won second place in an international science fair for a 3D printed robotic prosthetic arm that he started working on in middle school, will talk about his inventions, STEM and innovation, and where he’s headed next
  • Andy Christensen, owner and general manager of Medical Modeling, which provides 3D-printed medical implants, will show examples of how 3D printing is changing people’s lives.

The seminars will be followed by a reception, tours and demonstrations from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in CSU’s Idea2Product Laboratory, which is located in the basement of the Engineering Building.
